Mari Nakajima Description
Mari Nakajima's career took off when she won celebrity impersonator contests on Japanese TV in 1993 and 1994. Since then she has become famous for her uproarious impersonations of stars including Yoko Ono, Hibari Misora, Saori Yuki, Jyakusho Setouchi, Miyuki Nagajima, Seiko Matsuda, Tetsuko Kuroyanagi, Tamao Nakamura, Dewi Sukarno and others. She's also an actress, appearing in films such as A Taxing Woman 2, the comedy written and directed by Juzo Itami, and in numerous television dramas. This engagement is Mari’s New York debut. She is very excited to perform in the United States. Toshi Cappuccino will be a special guest and emcee. Mari’s performance will be mostly Japanese but she speaks English as well. No matter what she speaks, her show will be fun and funny for all comers. Written and performed by Mari Nakajima.
