Intro to Screenwriting Tuesdays Class Details When: Tuesday, Sep 20, 2016 7:00 PM Price $330.00 Restrictions: 18 & over Over the 8-week Intro to Screenwriting class at Westside Comedy, students will be introduced to the building blocks of storytelling. They will learn the fundamentals of writing a screenplay not only through discussion but also reading, watching and breaking down familiar Hollywood films. The course will allow students to develop ideas from a single thought into a fully fleshed out "Scriptment" - a treatment with several finished scenes incorporated into it. From there it is only a matter of time before they have a finished script. JUDD CHERRY has been working in the creative side of the entertainment industry for 14 years. He has written on such films as Spider-Man 2, Night at the Museum, Tropic Thunder and Bruno as well producing an upcoming feature, Nigel & Oscar vs. The Sasquatch. Judd has written, produced and directed an award winning short films, Neighbors, along with several commercials and music videos. He currently mentors for the Young Storytellers Foundation and is the Artist in Residence at the Society of the Four Arts in Palm Beach, FL where he has held film lectures and taught introductory and advanced screenwriting for the last two years. Judd graduated from Brown University with a degree in Art/Semiotics with a focus on writing and film production.
