Description
Countertenor Jordan Rutter and conductor Jennifer Peterson perform all four volumes of William Bolcom’s Cabaret Songs. Enter the universe of William Bolcom’s Cabaret Songs, and join us as we explore the “mystery mile” of strange characters like Uncle Murray the Furrier, Black Max, and Radical Sally. Each song unfastens another mask on a musical journey for love. Jordan Rutter is a New York City-based opera singer specializing in playing drag queens, fairies, and children. Recent engagements include VENUS & ADONIS (John Blow), THREE WAY (Robert Paterson), and LEGENDARY (Joe Rubinstein). Jennifer Peterson is the director of operamission, bringing opera to hotel lobbies, bars, and libraries. operamission is dedicated to developing new opera, performing cabaret music, and building new audiences and presentation styles, as well as its long-term project of performing G.F.
