Super 300 Blues Band Description
Super 300 Blues Band will perform Saturday August 19th, 2017, at The Diamond Valley Arts Center, located at 123 N. Harvard St., Hemet, Ca 92543. Doors open at 6:30pm with the show starting at 7:00pm. Back for their second engagement, you won’t want to miss this amazing night of music. Admission is $20 for Members and $25 for Non-Members. General Admission tickets include two beverages. The group performs dynamic arrangements of Chicago and traditional blues, as well as their own high energy boogie and swing-inspired original material. In the late '60s and '70s, as young musicians, Brad & Jerry backed various blues artists, including Shakey Jake Harris, Jimmy Witherspoon, Jimmy Reed, and J.D. Nicholson. This, along with influences of B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Albert Collins, Junior Wells, Sonny Boy Williamson and Magic Sam, continue to greatly influence the sound of Super 300. Bassist Allan Hearn, originally out of Mississippi and Louisiana, has been playing consistently since the age of 13. Allan came to the West Coast to study at The Bass Institute of Technology and has established a long list of live performance and recording credits to his name, including playing bass on the soundtrack to the movie "Josie and the Pussycats." Allan has also received awards for his musical accomplishments and made appearances on Entertainment Tonight and The Playboy Channel. Drummer Jim Snodgrass grew up in
New York has been playing since the age of 14. Jim moved to Los Angeles in the
mid '70s to study music and played at various venues over the years with a
variety of artists, among them R & B soul artist King Cotton. Jim's
association with Brad and Jerry goes back over 18 years. Jim and Allan inject a
rock-solid and dynamic rhythm section into Super 300. MUSIC AT THE CENTER is a fundraiser for The DVAC and its programs. Guests receive two glasses of wine (or other beverage), access to the current gallery exhibition as well as the concert. Doors open at 6:30 pm with the concert beginning at 7:00 pm. Items Not Allowed
