Music director Robert Frost has played a lot of cabarets. He has also played a lot of musicals. He has also played classes and concerts and auditions and lessons and coachings. He has played the piano a lot. Now, he is singing and someone else is playing the piano. Joined by music director Evan Zavada and director Leta Tremblay, Robert is going to stand in front of the piano and sing a lot of songs that he likes. He may also include one joke about his name, but you should feel free to include as many as you like.
Robert Frost’s music direction credits include Miss Blanche Tells It All and Lisa and Leonardo (NYMF); We Live In Cairo and Cardboard Piano (O’Neill Theater Center); Minor Character (Sharon Playhouse); and baby no more times (The Lark). As a pianist and music director, Robert has also worked with Berkshire Theater Group, New Georges, NYU, New Dramatists, 7th House, Lincoln Center, and Connecticut College. Adjunct Faculty: NYU Tisch and Connecticut College. Former Resident MD: O’Neill Theater Center’s NMTI.
Evan is a music director, orchestrator, and multi-instrumentalist based in NYC. He holds a BFA in Jazz Studies from the University of Michigan. Off Broadway: Fiorello! (E 13th St Theatre), Young Charles Dickens (Theatre Row). Other NYC: A Chorus Line (Secret Theatre). Regional: Next to Normal (Farmer's Alley Theatre), Assassins (Village Theatre), The Last Five Years, and Little Shop of Horrors (UM). In addition to being an active MD, Evan has performed with big bands across the US and Europe.
