Joe Boucher Description
IMAGINE - The Beatles Solo Years Winterfest Concert to benefit BHS Music Biddeford native Joe Boucher brings his five piece band along with a classical string quartet back to the City Theater stage to present “IMAGINE - The Beatles Solo Years” to benefit The Biddeford High School Department. In 2017, Joe presented “Piano Men - The Music of Elton and Billy” to a sold-out house at Winterfest for the first annual BHS fundraiser. Joe (BHS Class of 1987) and his band have been performing "Piano Men" with symphony orchestras around the country since 2011, regularly playing to sold-out theaters. They returned for Winterfest 2018 presenting their follow up show “ClassicRock” which they like to describe as “The WBLM playlist performed by rock band and orchestra”. They again were welcomed by a sold-out City Theater and were invited to play both Piano Men and Classic Rock at last summer’s La Kermesse Festival. This year’s concert will again feature rock band and classical musicians and, as with the past two years, will involve BHS Student musicians from the Chorus and Jazz Band. The concert features the solo songs of John, Paul, George, and Ringo after the 1969 breakup of the Beatles. Joe, a singer and multi-instrumentalist--whose uncle, Gil Boucher, was mayor from 1970-1973--grew up on Pike Street playing in bands throughout his life. Summers spent working for his carpenter father led him to scene shops and a career working behind the scenes in theaters touring around the world. For the past 13 years, he has been the Concert Manager for the Portland Symphony Orchestra. Joe lives in Cape Elizabeth with his wife Barbara Raths and their three children, Henry (9) and their four year old twins George and Jane. Items Not Allowed
