All proceeds will benefit CapraCare's Women Empowerment programs - Women's HIV/AIDS support Group & Girl's Leadership Youth Group WHY WOMEN EMPOWERMENT: According to research, "investing in women and girls can have sustained effects on her family, her community, her country. For every extra year a girl stays in school, her income can increase by 15% to 25%. If 10% more girls go to school, a country’s GDP increases by an average of 3%. Investing in girls early on can have a huge impact on all of us." -Kristen Yee, GCC. WHY CELEBRATE CAPRACARE'S 4TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY: CapraCare is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to develop sustainable community health programs assisting school-aged children 5-19 years old and their families living in Fonfrede, Haiti, having a population of 20,000 and devastated by the 2010 earthquake. CapraCare provides a host of professional services ranging from access to healthcare and social services, low-threshold mental health education and counseling, and prevention health education. Our programs are making an impact by saving lives and transforming communities, while re-building and maintaining a lasting local capacity in Haiti.
