Join us as we unveil the restoration and decorating masterpiece of the Summer Cottage at our Preview Day Celebration at Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve. Tour the Summer Cottage then, join us for a socially safe party and picnic.
Twenty top interior designers and landscape firms from the New York Metro area will transform the Summer Cottage into a decorating masterpiece. The Cottage will be decorated in a variety of styles from traditional to transitional. Tony Manning, our Showhouse Producer and famous for his many Hampton Designer Showhouses said, “showhouses are often predictors on new colors in decorating.” Visitors often get interesting ideas that they can bring into their own homes. For the minimal price of a ticket, you’ll leave with a head full of ideas on how to make your own home more livable, more functional or simply more fabulous.
Our attendees will get to pick their own time slots to tour the restored Summer Cottage with a guide. They will have an opportunity to meet the designers and enjoy a full cocktail bar with specialty drinks made for their enjoyment. Guests will dine on individually wrapped picnic style charcuterie/cheese boards packed in a commemorative limited edition boat tote bag. They will have the choice to eat at the Park with friends on umbrella-topped tables (sanitized between groups) or take home refreshments to eat later.
Live music will be provided throughout the day with different bands and singers performing. There will a silent auction through online sales- no need to touch tickets and pens. Comfortable chic attire and flat shoes are recommended, as guests will be walking on lawn.
The Caumsett Designer Showhouse will be open to the public for six weeks following the Preview Day Celebration. Tickets sold online only. Timed entry enables the tour to be socially distanced in accordance with New York State guidelines. Proceeds from the Showhouse will benefit the Caumsett Foundation, a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) organization whose mission includes ongoing restoration projects, educational, cultural and environmental programs at Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve. |
