This is a charming and timeless story of an orphan girl named Anne Shirley (spelled with an E), who has a wild imagination and a penchant for causing trouble. One day Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, an elderly farmer and his sister who want to adopt a young boy to help around the farm. To their surprise Anne arrives instead, bringing a whole new perspective into their lives and into the lives of every person in Avonlea. Join us as we see how Anne touches the lives of this close knit community.
