Description

Eden had been lost.

Adam and Eve had both disobeyed God’s commandment

to not eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

That perfect paradise, Eden, was sealed away from them, forever.

And now, over 100 years have passed since that beginning of time.

The first family struggles to work the ground for food
and survive in a land that has become cursed to them.
Adam and Eve had faithfully obeyed God’s first commission
“be fruitful and multiply”
and they sought to raise their children in the knowledge of the Lord; teaching them the things of God
and how to worship Him.
But not all will understand.

This ancient story is a reminder
of the reality of human sin,
but assures us of the enduring promise
of God’s overwhelming Grace.
