A brand new musical by the formerly married writing duo, Aaron Fox and Georgia Hendricks, opening tonight, February 20th, 1959 at the majestic Colonial Theatre in Boston, MA. Come see this Broadway bound smash hit starring Jessica Cranshaw and directed by the one and only Christopher Belling! Too bad that Aaron and Georgia aren’t up to their old writing standards since their separation. Too bad the ensemble of Robbin’ Hood look exhausted from a long tech week. Too bad that Jessica Cranshaw is well-past her prime, a monumental diva, and horrendous to everyone. Too bad that someone decided to murder Jessica during the curtain call of opening night? Wait - what? Curtains, Kander and Ebb’s final musical together, and a real love letter to classic Musical Theatre, picks up on that fateful opening night during the closing number when Jessica meets her untimely death. Before the cast packs their bags to leave the clearly doomed production, local Boston Police Lieutenant Frank Cioffi, an avid musical lover and amateur actor himself, is tasked with investigating the mysterious death of the show’s leading lady. The entire creative team, cast, and crew are suspects, and each apparently has the motive to do it. So, Cioffi sequesters the entire cast and crew inside the Colonial Theatre and begins piecing together a wild web of murder all while helping the creative team of Robbin’ Hood polish up their production and get it ready for new life! What follows is a journey of twists, turns, grand jetes, riverboat chases, and more deaths amongst the cast. See if you can figure out which of these Show People did it before this cleverly entertaining whodunit is solved.
