The Baton Rouge born Gerald Piper a.k.a. “Piper the Comedian” is every comic’s comic.  Known for his cool demeanor and relaxed style, you will not find anyone easier to work  with while becoming when his skills are on display. Master of impersonations, Piper has been known to channel the late Bernie Mac from  time to time while on stage.  With good reason, he attributes Mac as his inspiration to  pursue comedy and a career.  While attending Mr. Mac’s show, Piper was called on stage  and challenged by the legend to, “show me what you got!”  Drawing laughter from the  sold out audience in Jacksonville, Florida, Mac later told Piper backstage he may just  have what it takes.  Not one to conform to the status quo, he challenged the system and  abandoned cookie-cutter comedy to develop his own gritty, compelling style but  remaining the Southern gentleman his parents raised. Piper's performed on such well known shows as "Showtime at the Apollo", BET's Comic  View, HBO Def Comedy Jam.
