Description

Argan is a rich man--and severe hypochondriac! He decides to marry his daughter, Angelique, to a young doctor from a family of doctors in order to have them always around to tend on him for free. She, however, is in love with another young man named Cleante. When Angelique refuses, Argan gives her four days to agree or become a nun. Hilarity ensues as Cleante, Toinette the maid and Argan's brother, Beralde, all try to change his mind!
