Molly Pope, brassy belter/whiskey guzzler/lovable lunatic, sheds all pretense of humility and shamelessly entreats you to adore her for an hour while she prances about making loud noises. Unable to deny that she defines her self worth entirely via social media notifications, the "viscerally thrilling alto" (Time Out NY) exploits her fragile ego and vocal chops for your entertainment. Expect the unexpected juxtapositions of song and substance that have made her "one of downtown cabaret’s most adventurous performers" (New York Times) as well as a healthy helping of her roots in The Great American Songbook. She's just a hard-hearted softie who likes you an awful lot. Over-sharing? Of course. Sing-a-long? Yes. 3 encores? Why not. Molly Pope likes your status.
