Applied Tech Culinary Camp Description
Camp participants ranging from grades 7-9 will learn how to prepare a complete three course meal. Students will be given a chef’s knife (with Sheath), an Applied Tech Chef’s apron, and two meal tickets for the end of camp banquet on their first day, which they may take home at the conclusion of camp.
Students will learn how to properly use a chef’s knife, along with many important fundamental skills of cooking such as, sautéing, baking, pureeing, sauce making, food safety, time management, keeping a clean workstation, and basic food service. At the end of the camp, we will cook a full meal for up to two people per student at the end of camp dinner. (Additional fee for dinner) There will be a short awards ceremony at the end of the camp. Meal Prep: Friday: 2:00-6:00
