Join the University of Southern Maine Department of Theatre for a special event and performance of The Prom to celebrate our Maine LGBTQ+ community! The Prom is a story about uplifting and affirming the voices and rights of LGBTQ+ people, especially LGBTQ+ youth. It boldly represents young people's power to chart a new, more inclusive course for their communities. This special event will unite community members to celebrate these essential themes and amplify the vital cause of equality. A portion of the proceeds will support OUT Maine's Rainbow Ball Weekend. OUT Maine works toward a welcoming and affirming Maine for all rural young people of diverse sexual orientations, gender expressions and gender identities.

Tickets to this prom-themed event will include pre-show hors d’oeuvres, a photo booth, an intermission dessert bar, an onstage photo opportunity with the cast after the show, and more. 

We hope you’ll wear your “rainbow best” prom attire and join us for an evening of community, celebration, and affirmation of our Southern Maine LGBTQ+ community!

Rush tickets: On Saturday, the 13th, at 10am, we will release a limited number of Rush tickets to the 7pm show. Tickets are $20 and do not include the VIP Experience. Doors will open at 6:30.
