Neil Scholl Description
The 60 silver gelatin prints that will be on display will be co-curated by Caumsett foundation President Janet Barone and local professor, author Dr. Susan Van Scoy. A digital co-exhibition of Scholl’s work will be curated by artist and photographer David Almeida. Neil saw Caumsett as a glimpse into the past. Once all of Long Island consisted of hundreds of acres of fields and he wanted his photos to serve as a reminder of how Long Island looked before housing and commercial developments. “Scholl spent over a decade photographing at Caumsett. In that time, his work not only captured the Park’s abundant landscape in all its splendor, but also served to document its changes over time – such pieces now serving as valuable visual documentation of the Park’s history. |
