The 'tale as old as time' is at the heart of Disney's Beauty and The Beast Jr. A story of love, acceptance and forgiveness overcoming adversity and changing lives forever. When Belle, an outcast in her village selflessly saves her father, Maurice, from certain death by offering to take his place as a prisoner in the Beast's castle, a series of events unfolds. The Beast (a Prince under the spell of an Enchantress as punishment for his selfishness) lives a life filled with anger and remorse under a spell that only true love will break. As each day passes without the Beast finding someone to love him, those around him are slowly transforming from humans into household items doomed to spend their future as inanimate objects.
Over time, the kind and gentle Belle begins to bond with the Beast over her love of books; when the Beast saves Belle from the wolves and, in doing so, becomes badly injured himself, Belle takes care of him and begins to see and understand his pain and vulnerability and, in turn, her own. A connection is forged and the outcome is the stuff that fairytales are made of!
