About the play: If you were to take a blender to Anton Chekov’s classic plays and sprinkled liberally with the Christopher Durang unique and simmering contemporary humor you get this rollicking play. Middle-aged siblings Vanya and Sonia share a home in Bucks County, PA, where they bicker, indulge in sighs, and snappy retorts about the circumstances of their lives. Suddenly, their movie-star sister, Masha, swoops in with her new boy toy, Spike. Old sibling beefs and competition flares up, including threats to sell the house. Their lives will never be the same after this visit.
