Expressing Appreciation- A Collage Workshop
Feb 15th
12:00 pm- 4:00 pm
Greene Block + Studios, First Floor

*Please note that participants are encouraged to attend both sessions, but only one ticket reservation is required for this two day workshop.

Open to all levels of experience.
Materials, snacks, and drinks will be provided.

In this two-day workshop, participants will learn how to use collage techniques to create a set of unique greeting cards considering the theme of expressing appreciation for all aspects of life. After mixed-media demonstrations by the instructor, participants will be given time to create their own collages, which will become the front side of each card. Additionally, everyone will be encouraged to experiment with incorporating watercolor, acrylic, and hand drawn elements into their final pieces.
Participants will immerse themselves in the process of making, while simultaneously being introduced to the historical and contemporary relevance of this versatile medium. The schedule will also include a brief welcome, short art lecture, mini group discussions, and generous feedback. At the end, we will come together to look at what was created and share how expressing appreciation for life’s milestones can be a transformative experience for all.
