In conjunction with his
Midcareer Retrospective at MITF, NPR's James Judd (Snap Judgment) tells his
unique , personal stories but this is the collection too racy for public radio.
Guest performance by Audrey Rapoport.
Directed by Madeline Saidenburg.
James Judd is a favorite storyteller on NPR's
radio show and podcast Snap Judgment. He recently closed the live show
recording at BAM Opera House in May. He is presenting four nights of unique
storytelling at The Duplex in conjunction with his Minor Midcareer
Retrospective at the 2015 MITF Festival. But these are the stories of awkward
celebrity encounters too risqué for public radio. May include special guest
performers.
James is a former member of The Groundlings in
Los Angeles.
Audrey Rapoport brings her signature piece, “A
Rat’s Ass”, to NYC. A short, possibly true, slightly musical tale of a
Mouseketeer, faded glory, booze, and codeine.
One reviewer wrote that he would “give her all
my worldly goods and offer to bear her children if she would just let me watch
it again”. Another said, “I wanted to cry but I was laughing too
hard.”
