Description
This Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy takes a long look at what it means to be a human being. Mankind has spent all of history surviving climate change, natural disasters, and war. Horrible things happen, but mankind picks up, dusts off, and carries on. This epic romp about the Antrobus family spans all of human history, from the dawn of the Ice Age to the not-so-distant future. Thornton Wilder gets us to laugh at our strengths and weaknesses as a species. In this play that takes place in a theatrical world (as the audience is constantly reminded throughout the play), mankind faces the end of the world – three times – and still goes on, hanging on by The Skin of Our Teeth.
