What do we all have, but wish we had more of? What do we measure, count, waste, and save, but have no control over? In THE HOURGLASS, we explore TIME in three very different worlds, and find ourselves inside a game show where a failing pop star, a dying grandmother, and a city on the brink of revolution all compete for more time to realize their desires. Instead, time itself begins to fall apart. Join the Ragged Wing Youth Ensemble for our winter show, THE HOURGLASS, collaboratively created by our ensemble of teens from high schools around the East Bay. The Ragged Wing Youth Ensemble is a committed group of East Bay teens who train in physical theater, design and arts management, write, direct, produce and perform in original plays, and apprentice with Ragged Wing’s professional productions. In addition to teaching youth about theater, we provide a safe and empowering environment where they learn professionalism, self-expression, collaboration, leadership skills, and how to turn their interests and talents into a sustainable career in the arts or beyond.
